GENERAL GUIDELINES
OF THE SPIRITUALITY OF THE DIVINE WILL

The concepts presented on this Website contain some of the more significant aspects or elements that characterize the Spirituality of the Divine Will as contained in the life and writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta. This is not an exhaustive study of this spirituality, but a first approach to it. Those who have already received the grace of coming to know the writings so the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta, and have begun to put this knowledge into practice in their daily lives, will benefit most from the content presented here.

The Divine Will is the Life of God and the Life of Christ – the life of all that exists. It creates and conserves all His Works: Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification. The Divine Will wants to communicate Itself to all of us in plenitude, and this plenitude is the essence of the content of the words of the Our Father: “Thy Will be done on earth as It is in heaven.”

Through all that has been manifested to Luisa, “The Little Daughter of His Will,” God lets us know that He wants to give us His Most Holy Will as our possession. In response to this Gift from God, what should we do and how can each person integrate this Gift in our human, intellectual, and spiritual development and growth?

  1. First Step: Desire to live in His Will.
Christ's whole life is an offering to the Father: "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to accomplish His work." (Jn 4:34)

  2. Second Step: Want to know the Gift.
In preaching the kingdom of heaven, Jesus called all people to eternal life, which is anticipated in the grace of union with Christ: "This is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (Jn 17:3)

  3. Third Step: Value this magnificent Gift.
Our choice is not between the Will of God and the well-being of humanity. Rather, the Will of God is for our well-being, and our well-being is in doing the Will of God. Jesus said, "I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly." (Jn 10:10)
We pray, dear pilgrim, that whatever benefit is received from visiting these pages will redound to the greater glory of the Most Holy Trinity and hasten the coming of the Kingdom of the Divine Will to reign on earth as in heaven.
